What We Do
2nd Forres Company is linked with St John’s Episcopal Church, Victoria Road, Forres.
In recognition of the challenging financial climate across the country, we are delighted to be able to continue to offer two membership discounts.
For boys wishing to join our youngest section, the Anchor Section, we have some funded places available for any new boy wanting to join the BB. This will mean no annual fees payable.
For all sections, our annual subscription is currently £25 per boy. However, for families with two or more boys in the BB, we are offering a discounted rate of £15 for the second and subsequent child.
We never wish financial issues to be a barrier to joining the BB, so we hope these discounts will be of benefit.
Finally, we welcome any new young person who wants to join us. We meet every Tuesday evening in West Moray Church of Scotland hall in Forres. We have three sections covering all age groups from 5 to 14. Contact us on here for more details.
There has been a Boys’ Brigade company in Forres since the 1960s. The 1st Forres Company was established with St Laurence church, and was in existence for many years until it folded. However, on 6th February 2014, the new 2nd Forres BB Company was born linked with St John’s Episcopal church. Now well established, this Company currently has 3 distinct sections, Anchor, Junior and Company. The Company is part of the Moray BB Battalion which comprises BB companies from Burghead, Forres and Lossiemouth.
